Dr. Jacob T. Ellender’s Education and Experience
Dr. Jake Ellender has been practicing as a specialist in orthodontics alongside his father since December of 2021. Growing up, Dr. Jake had a keen interest in his father’s work and decided to follow in his father and grandfather’s footsteps and pursue a career in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Jake completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in 2015. Graduating in the top 5% of his class, Dr. Jake earned his Doctoral of Dental Surgery degree from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2019. He went on to earn his Master of Science and Certificate of Orthodontic Specialists from the University of
Oklahoma in 2021.
Dr. Jake treatment plans and practices with three specific goals in mind:
1. To achieve the patient’s best and most beautiful smile
2. To move the teeth and their supporting structures into the healthiest position
3. To achieve the most stable, long-term occlusion Dr. Jake has introduced the newest and most modern techniques and treatments in orthodontics to our practice. He looks forward to continuing the tradition of producing the highest quality of treatment at Ellender Orthodontic Specialists.
Dr. Albert P. Ellender’s Education and Experience
Dr. Albert Ellender has been practicing as a specialist in orthodontics in Houma, Louisiana for over 40 years. The son of a dentist, Dr. Ellender was raised with an appreciation for the ascetics and practices in the dental field. Following in his father’s footstep, Dr. Ellender decided to pursue a career in the dental field, specializing in orthodontics. Dr. Ellender completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University before receiving his Doctoral of Dental Surgery degree from the college’s School of Dentistry in 1976. He then achieved his certification in orthodontics from the University of Louisville in 1978.
