Dr. Albert Ellender is an orthodontist who has been practicing since 1978. Dr. Ellender spent 10 years of training – which included 4 years college, 4 years of dental school and 2 years of orthodontics training in order to practice orthodontics. While studying orthodontics for 2 years at the University of Louisville, Dr. Ellender spent full-time learning the skills required to manage tooth movement (orthodontics) and how to guide facial development (dentofacial orthopedics).
Personalized Service:
From the moment you contact our office to your final retainer check appointment, your experience at Ellender Orthodontics is about customer satisfaction. Dr. Ellender will review your records, photos, X-rays and models to determine the best method of treatment for your individual needs. You will then choose the type of braces you want depending on the suggested course of treatment: traditional metal, clear, Invisalign or Invisalign Teen.
Comfortable Treatments:
Today's orthodontic treatment is much more comfortable than it used to be, due to In-Ovation System Braces and shape-memory NiTi wires. In-Ovation system braces softly guide teeth into alignment which places no pressure on the teeth. Using the same technology utilized by NASA, NiTi wires exert a continuous force against the teeth to move them in the right direction, eliminating the need for wire tightening. The combination of In-Ovation braces and NiTi wires reduces a patient's overall time in braces and much of the pain.
