Meet Dr. Jake

Dr. Jacob “Jake” Ellender is a Board-Certified Orthodontic Specialist who has been proudly practicing since 2021. Born and raised in Houma, Louisiana, Dr. Jake is a graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School (Class of 2010) and Louisiana State University (Class of 2015). Following in his father’s footsteps, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans and went on to complete his graduate training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Oklahoma.

Jake & Lindsay: Faith and Family

In 2022, Dr. Jake married his wife, Lindsay, whom he met in Oklahoma City while she was pursuing her graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology. Together, they enjoy a life rooted in family, faith, and community.

Continuing the Ellender Legacy

As the new face of Ellender Orthodontics, Dr. Jake is passionate about continuing the family-centered legacy started by his father. His approach to care is built on trust, kindness, and creating genuine connections with each patient—just as Dr. Al always did.

Outside the Office

Outside the office, you’ll likely find Dr. Jake enjoying the outdoors—hunting, fishing, or hitting the golf course. And if you stop by the office, you might just be greeted by Boomer, the Ellender family’s lovable Bernedoodle and the official mascot of the practice. With his friendly personality and wagging tail, Boomer is a favorite among patients of all ages!
