A Legacy of Smiles Since 1979

Ellender Orthodontics was founded in 1979 by Dr. Albert “Al” Ellender, a proud native of Houma, Louisiana. A Graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School, Dr. Al continued his education at Louisiana State University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans.

With a passion for creating confident and beautiful smiles, he pursued advanced training in orthodontics at the University of Louisville’s esteemed Orthodontic Graduate Program. Dr. Al’s vision and dedication laid the foundation for the trusted, community-centered care that Ellender Orthodontics is known for today.
